Thread: Using Throttle lever on CH Yoke LE as gear handle

  1. Default Using Throttle lever on CH Yoke LE as gear handle

Now that I got the CH trottle quadrant, I want to set up my CH FlightSim Yoke's throttle lever as a gear handle using the registerd FSUIPC. I got it to go up, but can't get it to go down. That was just tinkering around. I can't find any instructions on how to do it properly.

Anyone having some guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    George

Are you using the Control Manager software and do you have any Map created?
If so I can send you a small script that will do it. Also the Parking Brake, if that floats your boat.

If you're only using FSUIPC then my answer is: "When you find out how to do it please let me know".

(I used to use CM but now just use FSUIPC and miss those two functions like crazy: still keep reaching for that lever!)

No, I am not using CM. I was in the FSUIPC tab of setting "Axis Assignments". After playing with it for a while, I got it figured out.

When you first hit the tab for Axis Assignenments, move the throttle lever on your CH yoke so it knows what you are trying to configure.

Then , select the "Send direct to FSUIPC for calibration" option.

On the right side, under "set up to ten ranges", move the throttle half way down, select the "up" box,

then move the trottle all the way down, advance the number to "2" on the ranges and select "down" in the box.

Then under "control to be sent when in range", there is a drop down menue, just select "gear up" on the first box and "gear down" on the next box, hit "ok" and that will close the FSUIPC window and you should be good to go.

It took me a good while to figure it out, I am surprised that no had done this before or answered back on how to do it.

But, in any case, this is how it worked for me and hope I can share it for anyone else that wants to do the same.
