Default Plane Goes Backwards At High Speed When Slew Mode Enacted

All of a sudden, and for no apparent reason, I am having real trouble with the Slew Mode.

My plane is just sitting there, on the ground. I want to move it somewhere else. I hit the Y key. Instead of hopping up a few feet off the ground so I can move it whereever I want with the joystick, the plane immediately begins moving backwards at a high rate of speed.

If I hit Y again, sometimes it stops, other times it starts going forward and takes off.

I don't know why it started doing this all of a sudden and I don't know how to correct the problem. I have checked the keyboard assignments - nothing fishy there. The Y key has the slew assignment.
My autopilot is off at all times. A/T is off.

    Any thoughts on this one?

    Mike

There was something wrong with my FS.cfg file. I was unable to calibrate my joystick because, when I went to Options/Controllers/Calibrate joystick, it would not give me a calibration screen.

I renamed my FS.cfg file, opened FS and the calibration screen magically was enabled. Joystick calibrated. Problem solved.
