Hello all!

I've been running FS2k4 for quite a while now, and consider myself to be VERY proficient with FS and computers. I had a GREAT flight in a C-17 from McChord AFB in Washington State up to Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK, with the most fluid and impressive scenery/frame rates. The C-17 I'm using, uses the default 747 panel.

Once at Elmendorf, I fired up the POSKY E4 (747-200 model, also aliased to the default 747 panel), and took off for Kansai International in Osaka, Japan.

Immediately, I noticed a HUGE hit on my frame rates for the entire 4 hour flight. At first, I thought something in the scenery around Anchorage was giving the "hit", but throughout the entire flight I got a MAX of about 2.2 frames/sec. GRRR! Couldn't land the sucker with that bad of performance, so I "bagged" the whole flight.

I tried re-loading (re-selecting) the aircraft, loading a different aircraft with a different panel, re-starting FS, re-booting the computer, pulling sliders back in the weather, aircraft, and scenery folders, but nothing helped.

I read somewhere in here a long time ago about bug with the default 747 panel and poor frame rates, but I searched the forums for over an hour and can't find anything on the subject. Any comments?????

(hardware: AMD Athlon 1800 (1.33), 256mb Radeon 7500, 512mb RAM...YES, I get good performance out of FS with this!!)
