There is no freeware add-on for LAX that I am aware of. There are a few "scenery enhancements" in the library that are very good but not what you are after. If you want my advice and I only get payware as a very last resort, spend the money and get the Cloud 9 LAX scenery you can get it from PC Aviator. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Im a massive LAX fan, probably because it is sort of a Qantas International hub. The Cloud9 LAX does contain the AE terminal and also all of the cargo ramps on the southern side.
    Can't help with ORD sorry.

    Hello,
I have Bill Melichar's LAX3 and Gottfried Razek's LAX_South2006_LR on my system and enjoy their enhancements of LAX. Both are freeware; both, available here in the flightsim.com library.
    Regards.

I agree on those those two files.
I have used Bill's files for a long time even before Mr. Razek's came out, and the LAX3 file is quite good.

    Good luck!

    Hi Moss,

You can get the new mega hubs from Oceanflight that have LAX/ORD and it does have the American Eagle terminal.

As for framerates LAX is okay but ORD is tough on the FR around the terminals.

I concur with the various respondents, but please be mindful, any airport scenery that involves a major hub (like ORD or LAX) free or payware, refresh rates will suffer a little, much dependent on your system.

The Payware I have from Just Flight "World Airports" (which includes ORD)is excellent for FS'04, but I just upgraded my system, dual core, etc., 256mb nVidia (6600) VC, so it handles it pretty much okay (slobbery and drooling).

I tried FSX, took it back, even pulling all the sliders back, one would have to spend gazillions on a system to run it, not worth the effort considering how much addon's I have invested in FS2004.

Not to hurt the likes of new FSX'ers, they have the money for it, I don't, but what I can't figure out, why don't they get a real ticket and fly the full size stuff?

Could make a great living at it, then maybe not.

    All the best,

I would avoid the Oceanflight scenery as it's old Simflyers scenery renamed and remarketed but with the same fps problem, and go for the freeeware LAX3

I would take the plunge and purchase Cloud 9's version of LAX. It is on sale until midnight Dec 31 at 50% OFF! A true bargain at that price.

I use Cloud 9 as my airport, then I use Gottfried's Hi-Res scenery around that and finally use Megascenery SoCal around that. The approach and landing is reallly nice as everything gets sharper and more detail as I come it. Nice effect.
