    Default keyboard what happened?

I inadvertently must have pushed a wrong button. When I am in the VC cockpit of my Piper Cheyenne, keyboard functions don't work. They don't work in the 2d view either. Once I am in the outside view all keyboard functions work. Can anybody advise my of what I turned off? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know which keyboard functions you mean, but accidently pushing the NumLock key will make a difference with keypad functions.

If that's not it, give us some more specifics.

In the VC or 2D cockpit the P for Pause simulation, or a response to the ATC, does not work. If you change the look to an outside view then these buttons work. If your are in the VC and push Shift 1 or 2 that should put up a Fuel cut off or Radios or whatever the 1 and 2 are assigned to. They do not.
    Thanks for the response,

TJ, I'm really out of solid ideas, but at least this will put your question back on top.

Assuming the Cheyenne is a new add-on, is it possible that it made some changes to your Keyboard assignments?

If not new, it might still be worthwhile to review your Keyboard assignments to see if anything looks fishy.

Let us know if you figure out the solution. Good luck!

Just thought of one more thing that's worth a try. The fs9.cfg file might have gotten corrupted.

If you delete the fs9.cfg file, a new one will be created when you next run the simulator. I can't speak from experience, but it's an option mentioned often in the forums. Much simpler than a reinstall.

For starters, DON'T actually delete the cfg file. You may have some valuable tweaks in the file that should be saved. Instead, rename the file fs9.cfg.backup (or whatever you like).

Before renaming the file, run the sim and make a note of the slider positions for terrain, autogen, aircraft graphics, etc. Some of these might be changed when the new cfg file is created.

If this works, you can then edit the new cfg file and insert any tweaks from the old cfg (backup) file.

If this method doesn't work, just delete the new cfg file and rename the backup to it's original name (fs9.cfg).

    Regards,

Strangely enough I reset all assignments to default, then went back and re-assigned my previous settings. All buttons now work fine. Go figure! Anyway I am back up and running, thanks again for your advice.
    Sincerely, Tim
