Confused about American Airlines Virtual...

When I searched for American Airlines Virtual, two results came up:

http://www.joinava.org/

The first calls themselves American Airlines Virtual

The second calls themselves American Virtual Airlines.

I'm really not sure if they're the same. They have different website structures, however they are both based on American Airlines.

Can someone please shed some light on this?

No they are not the same VA, although both are based on American Airlines. I use to belong to American Virtual (joinava.org) It was a much larger and much better organized VA IMHO. The only thing is that they want all flights done on VATSIM. I eventually left because I wasn't particularly interested in VATSIM. I fly during times when there aren't too many people online and I felt as if I was completely alone out there often without any ATC. Since I preferred to fly offline with RC4, I left AVA. But it is a fine organization if you're also into VATSIM.
