Auto Throttle

I'm having a terrible time with what seems the auto throttle. Everything is fine until I engage it then after about 5 seconds the airspeed indicator drops to zero and the throttles peg at 99%. I cannot get them to reduce power without disengaging auto throttle and manually moving the throttles myself.

Turn ON Pilot Tube Heat (Shift+H)

Your pitot static tube is freezing up and becoming blocked with ice, which prevents the airspeed indicator from working, and might affect other instruments but can't say I've noticed anything going bad other than the airspeed indicator....

Turn on the pitot heat and you should be fine.
