    Default key assignment

I would like to assign some of the ATC request numbers to be CH Yoke. For example, when ATC says something and you have to chose a number from the list and then hit that number on the keyboard, I would like to assign that to my yoke. I thought it was going to easy as I found in FS9 assigments a way of assigning select numbers to the yoke. I tried assigning 1 and 2 to the yoke but when ATC makes a request and I hit the assigned button still nothing happens and I still have to hit the keyboard number. Can this be done?

I have my CH Fighterstick buttons assigned to bring up the ATC window and to select ATC items 1 thru 4 which are the most common use ones. Make sure in control assignments you have assigned 1 thru 4 to Select Items 1 thru 4.

That's what I tried to say above and did. Assigned select item 1 and 2 to two buttons on the yoke and when ATC made requests I hit the yoke buttons and nothing. Should a delete the keyboard assignment?

I have the 4 way switch I use for ATC menu on my CH Fighterstick setup to send key commands not as DirectX buttons. I tried deleting the keyboard commands and just assigning buttons through FS Command Assignments but it doesn't seem to work. If you can assign key commands to your buttons you can do it like I did or if you have a registered copy of FSUIPC you can assign the ATC commands through there to your buttons and it will work fine.

I thought that might be the problem. The CH yoke doesn't have any mapping program. I'll get the registered copy of FSUIPC and try that. It is really a pain to keep hitting the keyboard buttons, especially in IFR conditions.

The yoke doesn't use CH Control manager? Anyway, the registered FSUIPC is well worth it as you can do a lot more things thang you can otherwise.
