Tu-144 gauge problem

Might anyone have a reason why the APU.gau in the Tu-144 SST won't load. That's 19 gauges in that file according to the panel cfg file. The entries seem right. The APU.gau is in the Tu-144_cm folder in the gauges folder. I have fsuipc 3.53 ( docs recomend 3.47). I've been at this all afternoon, and still FS9 gives me 19 `unable to load APU.gau' messages.

I can't find any discussion on the forums. Help, please?

I'm at work at the moment.

I fly the 144 regularly with no problems.

I will have a look at my intallation when I get home tonight.

What version of Windows are you running?

OS is XP home. `Puter has Celeron 2.5 MHZ. Radeon 256 MB PCI card. 2 GB Ram.

The Panel cfg has 19 lines in the Engineering panel definition that read Gauge##=TU144_cm\APU!****.

FS9 says it's unable to load Gauges\TU144_cm\APU.GAU 19 times whenever the plane or panels loads or unloads.

Apparently the file FSSound.dll is required in the FS9\ folder for the Tu144 engineering panel to load--specifically the APU.gau file to load.

Now I found no such file in FS9\folder but it was in the GW3\folder. Since GW3 is a modified 2nd load of FS9 I'm puzzeled. is FSSound.dll part of an add on or was it part of FS9 and for some reason disappeared?
