Change Spot plane view zoom settings

I recently bought and downloaded the Vans Aircraft Co 717-200. When I switch to spot plane view, the aircraft looks really small, or zoomed out compared to default MSFS aircraft. I read a review on the Wings of Power payware which also had the same problem, but which the reviewer was able to change this in the aircraft.cfg file. Does anyone have experience with this? Could anyone tell me what value needs to be placed in the aircraft.cfg file?

Not sure if I am reading this right or not, but go to spot view, click ALT/View/Options and the distance setting is in there.

Ok I did it and it worked. Thank you very much!!!!!!!
Is there any way to save the setting for just that aircraft?? After I made that change and exited out of flt sim, it went back to the default setting for that aircraft.

Saving flight should retain the spot view values. Since I installed FlyBy 2.0 for FS9.1 my spot view settings are 'reset' (by FlyBy) even if I just change views! Darn. Do you have FlyBy 2.0?

I use spot view, and best 'setting' for most GA props is Zoom=1, distance=60=80 ft, and alt=3-5 ft. Make sure zoom is 1x if you plan on landing from spot view, or you fly helicopters from spot view.

Any other setting for zoom and your 'perception' gets messed up. Use space bar to reset to 'centered'. Use shift+enter and shift+backspace to move view angle (ie:under wheels or over cockpit).

Use AFCAD2 to edit the aircraft's "radius." It is set way too large...
