Can't See Aircraft in "Select Aircraft" FS9 Screen Need Help

I no longer can see the aircraft in the "Select Aircraft" screen of FS9. The screen where the aircraft is to be displayed appears totally BLACK!

This just happened.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Two days ago the repair version of Windows XP was installed. This is not a complete installation. I had some issues with accessing e-mail and certain web sites. This repair cured the problem.

Unless, of course, you happen to be using an ATI Radeon 9800 AIW like me, in which case you might have to downgrade. :P Maybe I'm sore, and maybe I'm unlucky (since other Radeon users here have had success) but I am stuck using Catalyst 4.12. Have had artifacting and random graphic glitches using all 5.x series... Wish these driver writers would get their @#$%&* act together for FS9, 'cause I'm going Nvidia next time.

Nvidia's a decent card. That's what I have,and it runs FS9 pretty darn good,imo.

If this is happening only in full screen mode, you might check if you are running in 16 bit colors or 32 bit. I've found that with 16 bit I can't see that box in full screen mode.
