Thread: Plane spotting from LGA

    Default Plane spotting from LGA

Yesterday, I went to Flushing, New York. I did the smart thing and brought my camera. It took me many months to successfully take screenshots of planes, considering the last shots that happened happened to be when I was in the car. Anyways, on with the shots.

Here's a view of the Lincoln Park Airport. Not exactly in New York, but my house is just a few miles away.

An ERJ-looking bird takes off over a building.

    A Delta 757 takes off.

A very shiny American MD-80 take off from runway 13.

    The same MD-80 flies off.

Nothing could possibly get away from me...not even this little Delta CRJ, which I didn't even hear.

A US Airways Airbus takes off.

The same US Airways Airbus flies off.

    More shots coming.

An American Eagle ERJ flies out.

This looks to me like an ATA 737 with winglets. Believe it or not, this is the first 737 I've seen in reality with winglets (not including screenshots or anything)

    A Delta 737 take off.

I didn't know Northwest had A320s still in the old colors still. The last time I saw one was about last year.

A new-colors Delta CRJ takes off.

2 hours later. It's still very cloudy, and it's going to rain soon. Here, we see an American A300 take off. I want you to know...that I was walking backwards on 38th Avenue taking this.

And for the final finale, a Delta CRJ takes off in rain.

I can guarantee that other flights were being delayed due to weather. Enjoy.

Well, it sure aint airliners.net material, but it's good to see that you are giving it a try. With a better camera and a nice zoom lens you will be taking great shots in the future no doubt :D

Thanks. Unfortunately, this is the only camera that I own. However, if I were to use my mom and dad's camera, it would have been a lot worse. These planes are probably a half mile away from me, and their camera doesn't zoom that far.

Kevin, did you try out Runway 4 that day? Over and near the school tower? On the days that traffic is coming in that direction, it makes for an awesome opportunity to photograph. With my stinking luck.......lol......everytime I go there with my camera, everything is taking off or landing from somewhere else. One rainy day I'll catch those planes heading into runway 4. The odds are with me on this!

Nope. Wasn't even near the airport that day. The shots came from the intersectiong of Main and Roosevelt, except for from the American A300, where they came from 38th Ave, near Main.
