Thread: View panning down

  1. Default View panning down

    Hi,
I've had FS'04 for a year now, and can't figure out how to look up or down when viewing out a cockpit window other than the front. Of course I use SHIFT + ENTER or SHIFT + BACKSPACE, but it only works looking forwards, it never works looking left or right or anywhere else, as it used to in previous versions. Does anybody have a hint? Thanks!

Make sure you're in the VC and use your joystick's hat switch (or change the controller/commands assignments in FS9).

    Hi,
Thanks. Do you know where in the controller/commands assignments? I've looked all over and must be blind....
Plus, I don't have a hat switch, so it has to be via keyboard command....
    Thanks!

    Ah,
Treat yourself to a hat switch - just great if you're not
into expensive controllers. My Logitech Extreme 3D Pro
has this & has perfomed perfectly.

With your num-lock on, you can use your number pad 1 - 9 to look around in 45 deg increments. Direction being the relation to the 5 key. The 5 key looks stright down. Holding the 5 and pressing any other of the keys 1-9 looks up at a 45 deg angle.
I do agree that a hat switch is the best option.
