Says who? Why? Never had any problems with FS2004 graphics. I uninstalled FS2002.

Well, your post contains an Opinion and a Question.
But I'll comment on both :-)
The Opinion:
""Graphics are not as good in FS2004 as in FS2002""
A rather unique opinion, since probably 99.999% of all FS users will disagree with you.
The Question:
""does that mean that you should uninstall FS2004?. ""
By all means; just uninstall FS2004 and go back to flying FS2002 ;)
BUT: being in a good mood, I'll rephrase your post.
Assuming of course that you intended to ask the following:
""
I find that the graphics in FS2004 are not as good as in FS2002 -
Does that mean that I should uninstall FS2002 to improve graphics in FS2004 ?
""
NO. The installation of FS2002 and FS2004 is completely independant.
If you find that graphics in FS2002 are better then in FS2004, the most obvious reason is that you don't use the optimal settings for FS2004 on your PC. Just fiddle with the settings under menu Options-Settings-Display-Hardware, and I'm sure your opinion will change ...

rcbarend- Good arguments!.
I have a PC With FS2002- Standard Version- and it has a fine landscape near Viborg- Denmark- good enough to fly gliders in thermals.
When it comes to my other PC wth FS2004 the landscape looks like waste land.
Who else than Microsoft slows down with old airplanes- Professional Version- Beechcraft Baron
58- and why have they broken a drill in the cockpit of the B737- 400.
The historic airplanes are interesting.
I have FS2002 and FS2004 on two different computers and at the moment I think that FS2002
is the best choice- flying sailplanes like an ASW- 28.
My PC is a bit slow for a B747- 400.
I don´t think my Graphics card can improve the landscape in FS2004 much- but it can make nice pictures of a SAAB Draken from Alphasim making smoke around.
So maybe I´ll look forward to see the next FS although it may be out of propotion and subject to crime.
Difficult to make everybody satisfied.
So because your computer is not up to par for running FS9 and you can't turn the graphics up just enough to get good frame rates and some stunning graphics, that's MS's fault ?? Ummmm, interesting. I'm not knocking your rig or your ability to afford a higher end rig, don't misunderstand me, I'm just saying don't rip on the game because your machine can't run it.
Dan
Comparing two totally different Flight Sims, on two different computers is like comparing Apples and Oranges, you will never have the same opinions about them.
Running FS2002 and FS2004 on the same computer, FS2004 graphics are -definitely- much better, and framerates are better. The only reason that I kept 2002, is I have two programs I like using which I've not upgraded to run on 2004. The aircraft which are included in 2002, that were not in 2004, I copied to it, and they work perfectly fine. However, there are many addons which have been upgraded to 2004, and they also work better.

This image is from FS2004- and shows a SAAB Draken ready to take off from St. Kitts.
This image also is from FS2004. There´s no signs of tar but the feathers obviously are there.
The canadians using their Boeing´s for ground attack?. Leaving no one to decide?.
Maybe it´s my FX 5200 that´s "not good for Flight Simulators". Could be fine with a list.
These screenshots you have posted definitely confirm that there is at least one aspect of your system and/or FS settings that are not up to par. This is not Microsoft's fault.
What do you mean by "could be fine with a list"?
