Thread: flightsim menu position

  1. Default flightsim menu position

For some reason my flightsim splashscreen and menu page have started apearing in the top corner of my computer screen. I haven't adjusted anything (to my knowledge!). Is there anyway of positioning everything back in the center of the screen?

I think that can happen when you switch between full screen mode and windowed mode. Try this:

    1) Start up FS
    2) Press Alt-Enter to switch to windowed mode (assuming you started in full screen mode)
    3) Move the FS window to the center of your screen
    4) Press Alt-Enter to return to full screen mode
    5) Close FS

The next time you start FS, the menu page should be in the center of the screen, or more precisely, wherever the center of the FS window was when you were in windowed mode.

I think that's all you have to do - I'm at work, so I can't test it. Don't tell the boss! :D

I've occasionally seen the same thing. This is how I fix it:

Open the FS9 Config file and remove the value for Location=
In other words, just leave the Location value blank.
Save the file and when you re-start the sim the splashscreen will be back where it should be.

    ..Noell

Cheers for that guys. problem solved by going into a reduced sized window mode and shifting it back into the middle of the screen. I must have moved it to one side while working in another window at some stage recently.
    Thanks again
