Thread: AI Traffic, how much is too much?

Default AI Traffic, how much is too much?

I'm sure this has been kicked around someplace, but how much AI traffic is too much? I have approximately 130 AI flights in and out of Denver per day and it's tough to get in edgewise. What I'm looking for is how much AI traffic other people have and are comfortable with.

    Thanks, DKT

I'm using Ultimate Traffic set at 100%. I dont worry about how much is too much, just how realistic it is. If it's on the schedule let it depart or arrive. Sometime ATC can be a pain but, it calms down after 10 0r 15 minutes of operation and you don't get too many go arounds.

ya I agree, let it fly if it's real! And agree with the "calm down" period. Departure is always more hectic than arrival for me if I fly a full flight, since AI scrambles to get moving as soon as the sim starts. Sometimes I let start FS9 and let it sit 10 to 15 minutes, then come back and start my flight to avoid the monster rush.
I like it as realistic as real world, so that's how it get's set up on my rig!
ALso try one of the 2 new AI traffic separators. I have them, but have not played with them - but people who have, see a major difference in go aounds and clogged approaches.

Which if you think about it is pretty relaistic. I mean from the time you board a plane how long do you wait at the gate at a major airport? Hehehehe besides you want your passengers to board and you need to do all your checklists right ;)
