Default Loss of radio, autopilot and clock displays etc but the avionics switch is on??

Help please, in any of my aircraft (I think) even if the avionics switch is set to the on position all of the radio displays, transponder displays, autopilots display, ddrmi, clock etc are all blank. How do i turn them back on??

Thanks in advanced to whoever can help me with my problem

One work around is to go into options, then that area where you can set keystrokes and joystick options. I am at work and do not remember the exaat line.

Anyway, once there, look for the line for Avionics and set a key or joystick button. In my case, I used Ctrl A. works like a charm.

Try Shift + M to turn on the Master Battery.

Thanks for your advice both of you but neither seems to work. My problem is that the batteries are on the engines are running and everything is powered (no dead batt etc). The avionics switch is in the on position and i can talk to atc and recieve ILS information but i am unable to change it or program the autopliot or even look at the time because all the displays are not working.

At first i thought i might of been missing those guages but it's the same for all my aircraft even addons and i don't understand how i could just lose all my guages for only those systems.

I've included a screenshot to show you what I mean

You might need to look up on the overhead (Electrics panel) and make sure the Generators are Turned ON. Sometimes they GO OFF by themselves five minutes after engine startup. SPOFF

I have not seen this problem in a while and this may not be what is happening to you. Since the gauges are all blank in yur screen shot including the clock, it reminded me of a problem that I first saw in FS2002. It never happened to me but apparently there could be a problem with some text fonts used by Flight Simulator. In FS9, if you look at the sub-folders, there is a font folder. You may want to make sure the contents of this folder are ok. Are all of the fonts there? Have they been corrupted? The font file that was causing the problem was called "quartz.ttf". A search on that produced a few results. Someone was having a problem with Windows 98 having decided to have FS2004 use Windows fonts instead of the Flight Simulator fonts-a Win98 reinstall fixed that problem. The fonts in my FS2004 fonts directory are:
    arialnb.ttf
    arialnbi.ttf
    glassga.ttf
    maian.ttf
    maiandb.ttf
    msgothis.ttc
    nwgthc.ttf
    quartz.ttf
If you find they are all there and if you are not running Win98 or WinMe I suggest reloading these from the FS2004 CD's in case one is corrupted.
I also know when you change the screen zoom in full screen or window mode, or change the window size in window mode, the text in the places you are missing numbers has to change the font size. It might be possible to get a particular combination of window zoom/window size that forced a text font size that then might not display-like halfway between 2 font sizes or some issue with font size and screen resolution. Here I would try a small adjustment in either window size or zoom.
This may be of no help but it seemed worth a try.

I think your battery is dead. I had the same problem once in a boeing737 the generators (gen) were switched off. after a few minutes there's no power left and everything goes black.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions but the problem seems to have dissapeared. I'm not sure what caused it but i'm just happy that it's gone :-)

    Thanks
