What is a AFCAD file for??

I have been flight siming for years and never tried to use the AFCAD files or figure out what they are for. I did a search but really did not find the answer. I installed the AFCAD2 file for the Las Vegas Airport that I found in the library today and I am lost. I did not see any change. Sorry for the dumb question...

Hi Fred, welcome to the forum. AFCAD files can be modifications to an existing airport, and in some cases new airports. With it you can add parking spots, runways, taxiway, aprons and just about anything else you would find at an airport. Do in search in the library for afcad221.zip, included is an excellent readme file that will give you more details.

Yes, definitely get afcad221.zip One of the best freeware addons
for flightsim. Also checkout projectai.com (or get ultimate traffic
from flight1.com). PAI has freeware airline traffic addons with flight plans that work wonderfully with AFCAD files.

It opens up a whole new world to flightsimming.
