If I'm not mistaken, the kiosk flights are not supposed to fly on their own.
Kiosk mode is intended for "kiosks" at trade shows and such where show attendees can each take a turn at the sim. Kiosk mode limits the flight to 5 min or so, and enables the flight to be re-started and/or different flights selected using only joystick buttons so that the keyboard and mouse can be tucked away out of reach of the general public.
Don't know if this is what you were doing or not, but to get into true "kiosk mode", you have to go into your main fs9 folder and double click "kiosk.exe". You can fly the kiosk flights normally from within the sim, but they aren't time limited or otherwise different from any other flight unless you've started the sim with "kiosk.exe".
