AIRPORT ENVIRONMENT UPGRADE 7

Would like to thank Mr. Chris Arrington for his aeu7.zip upgrade. Like the 6 version, this is also a great gift. Got mine on the AVSIM lib. Sure enhances many a dull airport,buildings,and taxi/runways.

Hi guys,Boy Chris does a great job,but with my low end system I took a hit on the 6.0,could not use it.How is his 7.0v?
Sony Rx550 P4 1.5 512 Rams
SP2 9.0c 71.20c XFX 5700LE 256MB
Sony E440 19" CRT
VB airbase,Cessna FPS 23-30
Seattle,FPS 10-15
Another words if I lose a few FPS that's ok
But 5FPS or more not good for me.

Yes, he does great work and constantly contributes to the hobby. I tried version 7 but I actually like the Version 6 Express better. More of a personal choice as both versionare good, but no FPS hit or stutters when airports come into view as I get with version 7. But you should try them yourselves.

I get stutters on my system when I install these textures. And it's not a low end system. Frame rates are OK though (locked at 31).

Anyone else?

I had version 6 and liked the buildings but not the textures and taxiway marking so much. I also got a FPS slowdown.

Have not tried version 7 yet but would be interested to hear how people are getting on with it and even a few screenies if possible.

Hi IAN, I don't have the greatest "Stuff" nor can I send you a pic. What can do is tell you,that for me no problems. Both the 6,and now the 7th version.Would miss it were I not to have it.

Yep, I also prefer v6. I like the asphalt runway texture, and find the terminal buildings texture seems to be sharper in v6.

Using on a 3.6GHz P4 with pci-e & Radeon X800 XT.

No prob! The runway lighting might be alittle off because I'm not sure it they are the AEU textures or the FSSW textures.
