Thread: Is this true????

    Default Is this true????

    Hi folks,

Is it true that Microsoft still doesn't own the source code of the *.air files ? (Still Bruce Artwick property)

Therefore there is no "official" *.air file editor or SDK ?

    Could someone tell me ?

    Best regards,

    Amedee

I don't know but I would not be astonished at all. They used to sell quite a lot of stuff which they did not own...

First item on the list: MS DOS! ;) (they "kinda" stole it from its programmer... well, bought it for a few bucks)...

No, it's not true. Bruce Artwick sold the entire BAO operation to Microsoft in November, 1995. The sale included all intellectual property rights to the software.
