Thread: Problem starting the lear 45 engines

  1. Default Problem starting the lear 45 engines

Hello when I fly the lear 45 that comes with fs04 I turn the engines off. When I am ready to turn the engines on and press the button on the panel to start the engine I want started it wont start. I also have where if I push shift+1 will start the # 1 engine shift+2 starts #2 that will not start the engines. The only way to start the engines is to use ctrl+E. I don't want both engines started. Also how do you turn just one engine off at a time?

    Thanks mike

Not sure why your having that problem to be honest, but ctrl+e will start engine 1, if you hit ctrl+e before engine 2 begins to start, it will stop the startup routine.

To stop just one engine, bring up the throttle window and bring the condition lever to the bottom, or use the keyboard shortcuts to select the engine, and then use ctrl+shift+F1 to turn it off

Your problem in starting is also connected with the condition levers. You will find that they default to the off position.

Do you push and hold the engine start button while the engine spools up, approx 15-20 secs. If not try that.

    Hope this helped.

When you are ready to start your engines you must hit Ctrl-Shift-F4 all together. This will turn on the fuel to the engines.

Once that is done you may proceed to press (and hold) the engine start button. Once the engine has spooled up and started only then may you release the starter button.

    Hope this helps.
