Man....whats up with the library download speed??

I noticed the other day I went screaming through a download instead of the usual 90-100K. Just did a couple more,one was at 589K,this is like speeds of years gone by.

Me on the other hand, I jump up and down when I see 6 kbps on my dial-up!!! :-jumpy Usual is more in the neighbourhood of 3 kbps.

I think my modem is carved out of rock... :-lol

Yeah,6K is real good for dial-up,although rarely seen. I cancled the dial-up and hooked up to cable about four years ago,could never go back to dial-up. Get cable or DSL if you can....

I hear you, Kyle. Our phone lines are particularly bad out 'round my parts & sometimes I wouldn't even see 3 kbps. -shudder-

How do you manage that? I've tried with 2 megabit cable and even with OC-3 45 Megabit, both with download accelerators and can only get a mere 40k or so... 10k without.
