Oh! The Humanity!
Touring the Caribbean today. While at St Maarten, neth Antilles(TNCM) I noticed an unpainted aircraft. I use Ultimate Traffic. It turned out to be an airline called Air Caraibes. So I assigned an ATR42 with that paint. I was replacing the atr 43 that UT had assigned as default. Quite satisfied with my work, I went to slew mode to watch this birds flight. It was only a short hop over to St. Barts. As I tailed this flight I thought it was kinda low on final and sure enough ATC flew them right through a Mountain. Not only that, by the time it touched down it only had a few feet of runway left. Landing aborted it took off again only to repeat the same murderous approach into the hillside. Further research revealed that the actual aircraft used for this flight is the Fairchild Dornier 228, an STOL type of aircraft. No Air Caraibes livery was available for this aircraft. So flying Air India, I thought the passengers wouldn't care about the color of the plane. After the change I once again followed the flight right through the mountain again. The aircraft managed to land in the length of the runway this time. I must protest ATC's total disregard for the life of these poor folks. And not a word of it in the news.
