My Patch experience - not gonna believe this!

I envy all those who have had flawless upgrades. I have been working on mine for two days straight (there goes my weekend).

Now I finally thought it was working ok... I lost all auto gen trees! 100% gone with everhing maxed. If I look around I see literally 100's of white squares pop up then disappear. Or if I am on the ground they turn into clear squares yoy can see but then they block out buildings.

Now I have a vast baron wasteland of forests. oh well (a big sigh), guess it's going to be a late nighter...

Sorry to hear this. I just did a writeup on another thread about my experience, which went flawlessly. I guess I am one of the lucky ones.

Mine went flawlessly too, with one exception. The first thing I did whan I did a fresh install of FS9 many months ago, was make a copy of the entire Flight Simulator 9 dir and sub dir's. When I first ran the upgrade, it hung at the panel.dll. All I did is copy the whole FS9 copied dir over the original, then did the upgrade and it went fine. I did get a crash to desktop because of ActiveCamera being installed, but once that was removed, all has been great since. I can't say I have noticed much difference, but at least I am up to date, and no worse of than I was before.
