Default countless bugs with Aerofax B200

sorry for the word "countless", but...

I love the plane, the panel, it is soooo nicely done! And I love the real thing so this package was a must! I just couldn't get without it.

ok, now, bought it, registered, all was working fine...

then in 15/20 minutes half of avionics went off (radios, VSI and autopilot, but PFDs kept working). The problem repeated it self until I copy/pasted electrical section from other aircraft.

Other problem (a real killer one): HSI works for 15/20 minutes then quits to function (hdg & crs bugs work but the compass doesn't rotate, it freezes).

    what's all this goodness?

    It's Aeroworx :-tongue
Maybe you should try to post on their site. Did you register the plane?

    Best,
    Bert

I've flown about 20 hrs in it without any dramas. Can't speak highly enough.

I can't think what the trouble is. They seem pretty keen to help at the support forum, tho'.

did you turn the generators on when you first started the engines (or got into the plane with them running)?

Yeah - it almost sounds like user error. I don't have this addon, but it's supposed to be one of the most advanced addons for FS2004 and to emulate almost all systems of the real thing. Did you follow the checklists 100%?

so it's my error then. OK so I'll try to find the problem (I was afraid the problem wasn't me, but as far as it is me, I can find it and cure it).

I admit I didn't read the checklists, but looked (quickly) through the manual. I never read it when I try the plane the first time (I do on the second).

I looked at all the switches, everything was familiar, I started the engines manually, but haven't seen any generator switches there... ok let me go see.

I got it all under control now, I'm into my second flight for real now, and it functions like the switzerland's handwatch (you know what switzerland's handwatches are famous for?)

    I'm lllllllovin it!!!!!

I too have the B200. The King Air has always been a favorite of mine (real world and sim) Finally a quality add-on one for FS2004.

I have had a couple of issues with this aircraft, but they tell me a Service Pack is in the works and will be released soon.

really minor stuff- Tail floods and ice lights come on but the floodlight patterns are hit-miss - but when they hit - N-i-c-e looking nighttime textures.

In addition to systems modelling and great looking textures inside and out- I really appreciate the sound. Little things like the sound of the gyros and the high pitch whine of inverters when you hit the master switch show their attention to detail here.

Great VC too - completely functional - I can actually see out of this baby much better in the VC than my other favorite payware turboprop , the FSD Cheyenne which is a nice looking craft also.

I did change the default GPS for my own taste. The pop-up window was smallish for me to use easily - just changed some sizing figures in panel.cfg and problem solved. Oh yeah - never had an add-on with a TCAS - Cool ! I installed it in some of my other planes panels now.

Sound like an ad ? Sorry - just wanted to let you all know that this is a quality piece of work.

Don't know too much about the developers involved with this B200 - Anyone have some history on that ?

I've been lurking over on the FFS forums since before the release since this is one I plan to grab as soon as my CH Throttle Quadrant shows up. I must say that most of the "bugs" turn out to be pilot error simply because it seems easy to overlook something on such a complicated and accurate plane. I'm just itching to get my hands on it but I want to wait until I can get the right control setup.
