Taxiway cracks?

Now why don't I see cracks in the taxiways?

Its a mod for the game I beleive that may be the Airport Enhancement Pack.

Why would it? It's the same file size as the original textures? I have noticed ZERO fps changes using them... :)

Bill's right. No effect on Framerates whatsoever.
AEU is possibly the best freeware general addon for FS9 thus far.

I noticed some pretty significant stutters when an airport pans into view with AEU6 installed. Looks great though.

My system kind of sucks when compared to most, and I never really noticed taking an FPS hit after installing those textures either.

It is NOT the same file size. The taxi_asphalt.bmp in the aeu6.zip is a 1024x1024 dxt3 at 1,366KB and the original is a 256x256 dxt1 at 43KB. The 31 files included in aeu6.zip in total come to 25.2MB vs. the same 31 original files at 1.54MB.

They may not affect performance on all systems, but they may on some. :)
