Thread: Fly over the Poles?

    Default Fly over the Poles?

Anyone ever try to fly over either the North or South Poles? I couldn't do it. I could get close, but then my plane just flew sideways - a rather disconcerting experience. Didn't seem to make any difference which direction I came from either.

Is there a bug with those latitude and longitude coordinates?

(I suppose this is one of those FAQ's - though I couldn't find it - and I will be chastised soundly by the experts.)

Default RE: Fly over the Poles?

You can't fly there in FS.

The FS world is flat, not spherical.

Making it spherical for the sake of the poles would have been completely impractical for the amount of benefits gained.

So it's not really a bug, it's just that way by design choice.
