Thread: Pss 747 or 757 does it exist for fs9??

  1. Default Pss 747 or 757 does it exist for fs9??

Or is the pmdg 737 the only one with an fmc for fs9?
I'm looking into buying a complete aircraft with a vc and cabin but most importantly a FMC. I would by the pmdg 737 but i don't fly that anymore i prefer a 747 or 757 or 767. I'm also flying A320 and MD80 but cant find a payware with a complete fmc for fs9 for any of these aircraft.

And if you have any suggestions how do they compare with pmdg I read all about so i'm very familiar with it.
What will be interesting will be the 747 they say is coming out this summer however i highly doubt it will be out this soon considering 800 series of the 737 just came out not to long ago. Until then i want to fly one of those aircraft above with an active fmc.

Thanks for reading and please let me know if you have any ideas.

other than the PMDG there are the PSS Dash 8, A320, A330, and A340, the eaglesoft Citation X also has a basic FMC although this will not work alone like the others mentioned, i believe that there are others but these are the only ones i have expereince of.

With a few tweaks, the PSS 747 will work in FS9. Do a search. You might start with the author rhodges and go from there, and then I think you can find the the posts by others which can give you the desired information.

It is still one of my favorites.
    Good luck;

Might not be your thing as you seem to prefer complete automation rather than doing things yourself :-lol but take a look and decide for yourself.

Come on RTH - make yourself useful!
List down the few tweaks for us.
I've done the search & nothing of any use comes up for me.

Well Cat, I regret to say that it is possible that anything I have done may not be useful to you, but it serves my purposes any way. I have no way of knowing what you have searched, read and tried, and what you have not.

For what it might be worth, which may be nothing. My old memory certainly does not remember the original posts which led to this application, so as I suggested in my original reply, I did a search for anywhere I was originally involved by author "rhodges", including archives. (flightsim)

This discovery is not original. In posts prior to my time some kind soul (or souls) were kind enough to share this application with the rest of us. I asked questions, made comments, and added my results in the above replies or posts among probably several others. You can search for them as well as I can (And on the AvSim forum).

It has been many months since I made my modifications, so far be it from me to mislead you with my memory.

All I was really interested in was the panel. I use all MelJet or other 3rd party aircraft. I have found that in some cases, replacing the airfiles and/or aircraft.cfg files with the defaults or others of your choice may make the aircraft fly a bit more to your liking.

In almost all of my heavy aircraft, I make some changes in the aircraft.cfg files. I like to have specs as realistic as is practical from manufacturer's specs. or sources such as

    http://flyaow.com/planes.htm
    or
    http://www.bh.com/companions/0340741...-a/default.htm

I usually edit the weight and balance figures for specified number of passengers and weights along with fuel capacity, flap configuration, contact points etc. A key tweak is sometimes "thrust scalar" which may need a slight edit due to insufficient or excessive power.

In order to get what you want, assuming that this is within reach to your likeing, I am afraid a bit of a search, unorthodox installation, and trial and error experimentation will be necessary. It was worth it to me.

    My email address is rthodges@charter.net

If worse comes to worse and you really want to pursue it after you get everything installed, I will email my aircraft.cfg and airfiles to you, although you probably can setup and edit your own superior to anything I have done.

Best of luck, hope this helps a little bit, and Happy Flying:

I like a pretty good dose of both at different times, manual and complete automation of flight.

You have certainly whetted my appetite a bit. I must plead ignorance to much knowledge of Ready For Pushback, but sure am going to look at any forum comments I can find. My initial reaction at first peek of the link you were kind enough to include is with great interest.

    Thanks for the headsup.

    jwenting:

If I may ask, what liveries are included in the second generation? In looking at the images, and the other parts of the presentation my impression is that there were multiple and separate livery packages for purchase in generation one. Is this the way it is in generation two, or are all liveries pictured included in the download?

    Thank you:

Are the topics that rhodges is talking about in the flightsim forums? I searched and could not find those topics in the flightsim forum.
