    Default Junkers Ju52

When I discovered this fantastic looking aircraft,I could hardly wait to download and install it.The download went without a hitch but as far as the installation is concerned,I am totally confused.I am quite new to this but have managed to install all my other aircraft and scenery downloads after following the readme files,so not entirely new.The readme installation instructions are in what looks like 4 easy steps.1.Create the folders Flight simulator 9\AircraftJu52_v60. \Model. \Model.ba. \Model.eur. \Model.red. \Model.saf. \Model...... [window wo'nt allow this ]Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\Ju52_v60\Panel. \Sound. \Texture. \Docs Thats 10 folders without the one that windows wo'nt allow you to make. 2.Unpack and copy the contents of the zip file into Ju52_v60 folders. In spite of this instruction when I unzip the downloaded file into a temp folder,I find that all these folders are already made and contain lots of other files. 3. Move the gauge file Junkers_Ju52.cab into the ...\Flight Simulator9\Panel[!] folder.I can't find either of these folders.I can't find a gauges file but found a zip file which when I unzipped to a temp folder contained lots of bitmap files of gauges.I also can't find \Flight Simulator9\Panel but found \Flight Simulator9\Gauges folder. 4.Move the files fx into the Flight Simulator9 effects folder. Anybody who has this magnificent aircraft will understand why I am so keen to have it installed on my system. As you can see I am hoplessly confused and would appreciate anyone who will give me easy to follow installation instructions.

Hi Terry, I agree with you ,This is a remarable aircraft. The version I have is the JU-52 V60 zip. The author Mr. Pierino Primaves, did a great job. As for my installition, and not being to knowledgeable on all the "how to do it" I just put it in my FS9, aircraft folder ,It kindda took care of it self. (dumb luck). I now enjoy this aircraft in all the versions offered. There is an e-mail you may wish to try.
primaves i @ excite .com. Imust admit I did not get through.
Again this is a great freeware aircraft.Good Luck VIN

    Greetings Terry!

Totally disregard the instructions given in the download, following them will only result in folders within folders within folders.

    Try do the following.

Extract all files of the zipfile to your Desktop. This results in a GIF picture which you can disregard, and a folder "Flight Simulator 9".

Open this folder, inside are two folders: "Aircraft" and "Effects".

Open "Aircraft", inside is a folder "Ju52_v60". Move or copy this latter folder to the Aircraft folder of your simulator, usually c:\program files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft.

Then open the earlier mentioned "Effects" folder and move or copy the two files inside to the Effects folder of your sim.

That should do the trick! Have fun!

    Jaap Verduijn.

Thanks for the replies and the advice.I now have Junkers ju52 installed and it works fine with the exception that only 5 out of the ten versions available are working.Any ideas on how to fix this. The other question I have concerns a zip file in Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft/Ju52_v60/panel.The panel folder contains Ju mainpanel bitmap. Panel.CFC . and Junkers_ju52 zip file. When I unzipped this to a temp folder I found that it contains about a 100 files mostly bitmaps.Should this zip file be unzipped insitu,or unzipped to another location. Thanks for the previous help.

For the complete set you need 4 files...

    ju52v60.zip
    ju52v60addon61.zip
    ju52v60addon62.zip
ju52v60addon63.zip (this one is actually optional)

61 contains the textures for the European Airlines.
62 contains the textures for the Luftwaffe.
63 contains the float plane version of the aircraft.

You need at least 61 and 62 to complete the missing aircraft.
You only need 63 if you want the float plane version.

The "zip" file you refer to in the Panel folder is not a zip file. It is a .cab file. Within this file are the gauge files for the panel. FS9 looks here first for the gauges, if not present then the main gauge file folder in FS9. Basicly leaving it right where its at and not doing anything with it, is what you want.

Not sure where you picked up the origianal file but here is a link to the autor's site the "addon files" are available in the download section.
