The city of Birmingham in the UK, is pretty much in the middle of the UK. It is surrounded by a huge city, which is relatively wealthy. Making it ideal for an airline hub. Birmingham is also in easy reach by train and car to many cities without airports. But many airlines such as Duo and MyTravel Lite have tried flying out of there, but have ceased, or reduced their operations out of there. Duo went bankrupt and MyTravel Lite, has financial problems, and have had low PAX numbers of most of their routes. I understand that scheduled airlines such as BA, and Continental also have bad loads on many of their flights.
Anyone no why this might be?
