Hey fellow simmers. I know it's on the forum somewere. I must not be using the right search terms. So, I'll just let you know what I'm trying to do; and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I like doing some long haul flights,lax-hnl etc in the DC-10,concorde etal. But, my main enjoyment comes from the planning,takeoff,approach and landing. Once I get to cruise for a little while, I just like to go into the map mode and reset the plane to the TOD point or close to it. My question is...How can I keep ATC from cancelling my IFR flightplan when I reset forward and miss alot of ATC calls. I know there was a method,I apologize; I can't seem to locate the message. Any help appreciated.

Tune to the new centre when you get the handoff from ATC, but don't transmit any messages. That will work if you accelerate the sim, but I don't think it will if you reposition the aircraft on the map. That will reload a new flight and cancel any previous flight plan.
