!!!CTD Problems!!!

Hey guys! Wow I never knew ppl would reply :P But I did what Chris_ put down and I think everything is fine :D I will do CYYZ-CYHZ-CYYZ-KORD-CYYZ tomorrow on VATSIM hopefully everything will be fine :) Thank you for replying and helping me. Now I am all good I hope.

Hi,
I have attached the change in the terrain.cfg, In the original default terrain.cfg non edited, there is near 50 MaskClassMap=1 and near 100 MaskClassMap=3

Now they are ALL to 0. and you wont see any major difference on the ground since it's only related to under the road and rivers texture, non noticable.

Guess what??????

I just flew for about 1 hour around Frankfurt and did not get a single crash. I was also doing all sorts of panning and stuff trying to make it crash and it was rock stable.

More time will be needed before I know for sure but I think I just fixed it. For some reason I did not realize that some of the MaskClassMap's were 1's. I don't see any visual differences.

Right now I am so incredibly happy... :-lol

I have attached the right files to be sure you did not change MaskClassMap's 2 to 0.

The visual is only 2% on the road and rivers which is very hard to see to eyes.

Yeah, I don't notice any difference flying around. I have your file just incase I messed mine up.

I wonder if some other people made the same mistake I did? I remember a post long ago that said to change your MaskClassMap=3 to MaskClassMap=0. So that is what I did. I did page down and all I saw was MaskClassMap=3 so thats all I thought it was.

Also FS2004 is currently running in the background. I setup a long flight and so far it has not crashed.

Hi,
Basicly the change set the road and rivers like fs2002, it's only the change in the under the road texture and rivers blending, but really hard to see.

This was new in fs2004 , but it was not worthed to get all the trouble about CTD only for this.

I still and the orginal one on my desktop. I just wanna say thank you so much maybe you should talk to Nels and see if you can make a How to fix... CTD :o :D hint hint!

Well,

I just had another crash. This one was a bit different. Instead of a CTD I got a g2d.dll crash. I have had this before in the same spots I get the regular CTD crash. I think it is the same bug but sometimes you will get a dll error if FS was using it at that particular time.

I am now trying Chris's actual terrain.cfg file to see if it makes a difference.
