32 bit format

Dose anyone know how to convert or change the texture on some of the 2002 a/c? Example, the DF Cardinal. Such a beautiful model. I have not located anywhere on the web or other sim sites that offer 32 bit textures. So hence the question.
Vectors would be appreciated.

what do you want to convert or change them to? if you are looking for 32 bit textures there are stacks of them on here for a start, also DF do a template so you can make your own if you are so inclined, using the text-o-matic tool that came with the plane means you do not need any special tools to make the files the correct format for FS.

For starters, If you look at the DF cardinal, The textures are in a 16 bit format. My objective is to clean them up or make them more crisp. Like i.e. the Cessna 421. I do not belive,(I might be mistaken) the "text-O-matic has that option. Or, dose anyone know where I could find 32 bit textures for the DF C177???

Your best bet is to create your own textures with the template. If you go from a 16 bit to 32 bit, you don't increase the quality, only the file size, since the quality was already reduced going to 16 bit.

If you want to make them more crisp, try removing the mips, that will do it.

Hi Mike,

I�ve seen some of your posts over at H/C, you seem to be a knowledgeable guy. I always enjoy your posts.

Maybe I�m off base here. Not sure how to remove the MIPS in the texture. The aircraft I mention really need a make over. If I knew how to do it, I would be giving half the a/c in my hanger a makeover. Do you know how I could perhaps learn or ascertain the required info?
