Can you copy and paste an OLD_MODULES text from your FS9.cfg? What is the startup question asking? ALL of these .dll's? Some may not need to be listed in the OLD_MODULES section?
FSSound.dll will need to be there.

sure
[OldModules]
FSSound.DLL=1
ADF2MOD.DLL=1
GAUGES.DLL=1
FSUIPC.DLL=1
HostSB.Dll=1
startup question: FSsound,ADF2MOD and HostSB
thanks
Same problem here. I have the SAS DC-9 installed and every, single time I start FS9 I get a message about ADF2MOD.DLL. I have placed this into my FS9.cfg under the {oldmodules}, adf2mod.dll=1, and I still get the incompatible software message on startup. Each time I must click on YES to load the software. I'm out of ideas on how to eliminate this message.

Some questions for most of you:
1) Are you all sure that you edited FS9.CFG with FS2004 not running?
2) Are you all sure that you edited the same FS9.CFG file you're actually using? (Another user, another FS9.CFG with some O/Ss!)
3) Are you all sure that the name of your FS9.CFG is still FS9.CFG after editing and not FS9.CFG.TXT or something?
4) Do your O/Ss actually allow you changing CFG files?
This might be a stupid question..
But in the FS9.cfg file, did you put (old modules) in brackets above the modules name?
>But in the FS9.cfg file, did you put (old modules) in

I often ask myself why so many posters don't type "&l;" or "&r;" whenever they actually intend to type "&l;" or "&r;"? However, the lines in FS9.CFG have to look like this:
&l;OLDMODULES&r;
FSSound.dll=1
ADF2mod.dll=1
EDITED: And make sure that there's only one section called &l;OLDMODULES&r; in your FS9.CFG file.
Yup!
Exactly what Mike said.
OMG, how long have I been flight simming? Since 1986? What a stupid error. As you both suggested, I was making the change in the txt file. OOPS. Thanks guys.
Mike
Well, I can tell you that I don't believe "guages.dll" & "FSUIPC.dll" should be listed in that area of the FS9.cfg so remove those lines. I don't have them on my FS9.cfg and everything works.
FSSound should be there but who or what told you to put ADF2MOD and HostSB in there? I'm not sure what they are but unless they are really "old modules" from some time back, I would try removing everything you have there, EXCEPT "FSSound.dll" and save the FS9.cfg and try again.
