Small splash screen in FS9

My splash screen (SS) in FS9 is OK and covers my desktop if the resolution is 800x600. However, I like to run my screen & sim in 1024x768 and then the SS is much smaller and does not look as good as when it is big (I have a lot of nice SS-pictures). In FS2002 my SS is always big, irrespective of the resolution. Any idea how to get a big SS in FS9 when run in 1024x768?

I think that is the way it is and there is not much you can do about it. Mine dose the same 1024x768. No worries.

You will have to edit the SS with a good graphics program, is the only thing I can think of. Enlarge it to your desktop size. I'm not even sure where the SS are located or if enlarging them will cause other problems. It's all I can think of.

I have the same problem with the splash screen size.
I resized the bitmap with Paint Shop Pro8 to 1024 x 768, but the picture was enlarged within the same to small frame.
I also looked in the fs9.cfg file, but couldn't find anythink related to the splash screen.
Mayby it's a good idea to put the same question on the MS Flight Simulator General Discussion Forum of "AV SIM" forums.

If you are using WinXP, you can point your screen saver to the directory where splash screens are located and enjoy them full screen that way. For that matter you can set up a folder containing just the screen shots without the FSCOF text.
