Thread: Emma Field restoration

  1. Default Emma Field restoration

Has anyone had any experience with the (unofficial) Emma Field restoration package? I am a registered owner of an Emma Field download and have been eager to try it in FS9. I believe I followed the instructions in the restoration package to the letter, but when I went to fly there were so many errors that my flightsim installation was unusable. I think there must be some trick that is not listed in the readme that comes with the restoration pack.
One posting I read spoke about going to the Modules folder and deleting every .dll that starts with Vi, with the exception of ViMaCore2004.dll. However, I note that my now fresh and virgin installation of FS9 has Vivisual.dll in that folder, and if I follow this suggestion I will be eliminating part of FS9.
What to do? Thanks for any contributions.

Probibly the reason it dosen't work is because it is not the official patch from Lago. Just been to there site, no mention of a 2004 patch for it yet. I too own Emma Field but will wait for the official patch.

If you go to the Emma Field forum, this restoration is SUPPOSED to work. People are praising it. As for LAGO, it appears they have made no plans for any update so far as I have been able to determine. You may wonder why I did not post my question at the Emma Field forum. I am no longer registered there and getting re-registered looks to be a hassle. I was hoping for a quick answer here.

It works great when you do it right,it's a bit complicated, but I managed it,so you'll manage it too!Come on over to the Emma Field flying club forum here: http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=19 and there you can get all the help you need (and links to the downloads that you'll need) to do the mods. See you there!
