Thread: Help Resizing / Moving 3D Window in 2D Cockpit

  1. Default Help Resizing / Moving 3D Window in 2D Cockpit

In the 2D cockpit view, while resizing the main 3D window - the part which displays the outside 3D world - I inadvertently dragged the resize cursor to the very bottom of the screen and now cannot get it back. I have tried playing with the vertical position settings on my monitor and changing from full screen to windowed mode in FS2004 itself but have not been able to get the cursor back. The resize cursor is the double-headed arrow which shows that you can click and drag to resize the window.

I have also tried restarting FS2004 but the window is still the way I left it.

Does anyone know where the dimensions for this main window are stored, presumably in a configuration file somewhere?

    Many thanks!

  2. Default RE: Help Resizing / Moving 3D Window in 2D Cockpit

Solved the problem by deleting the FS9.cfg file and letting FS2004 rebuild it from scratch. Then went in and made all the edits for pan rate, terrain setting and the like I had made previously.

Lesson learned: keep a back up of the FS9.cfg file lying around.
