Is this a good joystick fr FS9? (compatible?)
I want to buy it but I see most people on these forums have force feedback and sidewinder and stuff. So I wasnt sure.

I have the logitech Freedom 2.4 cordless and it's an exceptionally well built product. It even has a metal throttle and metal trigger and metal joystick top. The Freedom's handle is the most comfortable shape in a joystick I've had.
This 4 legged USB one has more buttons and an extra leg for the base (which is rubberized like mine ... so no little rubber sticker feet to come off ;-) ....)
It looks pretty much similar in construction to my freedom 2.4 cordless with extra stuff and of course being a USB non-cordless.
From my experience with the cordless Freedom 2.4 , this joystick is probably excellent
Wow .....I know what my next joystick will be ...only problem is my current Freedom 2.4 isn't wearing in the slightest even after much rugged use in certain driving games .... hmmm

Just looking at the pic of the 3d pro more closely, it may not have all the metal parts like the Freedom 2.4
I'm looking at reviews now though

Love my freedom 2.4.....very well built and doesn't chew up batteries...just not Force feedback, but....I like it better than the force feedback I had at one point since my hand doesn't always have to cover the little sensor....
Does give me small issues w/ my 2.4GHz phone though if I'm in the same room as joystick...
well this review like the 3d pro stick

I am convinced by the review. Thanks for posting it. Ill buy it! Unfortunately I have to fly with the keyboard until Christmas :-mad
I bought it 3 weeks, ago. Fantastic joystick. Solid, precise and beautiful, isn´t it?
I used to buy Microsoft´s joystick, and a Saitek X45.I didn´t like Logitech´s joystick, but this one, is fabulous.
My favourite.
Buy it. You won´t regret.
At http://www.tomshardware.com , there was a review, look for it.
I have had mine for about 3 weeks now and love it! All the base buttons are on the left side which is great if you're right-handed, but not so good if you're a leftie. Hint...do NOT use the drivers CD that comes in the box. Just plug it in and it is set to rock. My prior joystick was the Saitek Gold USB.
so which is better? the wireless or the Pro?
I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D and it seems that I have alot of trouble with the rudder control. Even calibrated I get twice as much right rudder than I do left and it makes windy landings almost comical.

Well I saw the logitech 3d pro at the store with the wrieless freedom 2.4 next it (i have that anyway but it was good to compare). The things about the wireless that seem much nicer are the metal plates on parts , metal trigger, metal throttle level and fully rubberized base. The pro one has these replaced by plastic.
It still seems like a cool stick and has 2 more buttons. It has the same handle layout and great feel.
It is more expensive than the pro and you'd need batteries (but they last a week or two really or more) but I still like my wireless 'Freedom 2.4'
