I've just reinstalled FS2004 (and rebooted) but when taking off in any aircraft and flying around i have very little control with and without autopilot i cannot control the plane, it just flies in a straight line even when turning it is still flying straight, i tried running the default seattle airport flight, but no change, tried with and without a joystick, i am not sure what else to try because well, it should be able to fly. The odd part is the fact that even with autopilot the aircraft fails to climb or decend or turn in either direction.

If anyone has come across this problem before or has any theories i would appreciate them :)
