Cristo Redentor Statue in Rio de Janeiro

I know where is located, Mount Corcovado: I flight over and over with the helicopter but is impossible to locate. I have the exact Lat and Long locations, but nothing there.

I cannot thing that something like this is missing.

I�m doing something wrong. :)

You will get a great depiction of this wonderful statue (hope I have the right one!) with the payware Wonderful Rio scenery (there is also in addition - Wonderful Rio Extension) - I have both and can recommend them, if you love Rio these are a must have. They are by World Scenery here:-

I was so sure that the first post will be yours. I remember a previous post from you, recommending this addon.

I cannot understand how this is missing on the default FS) scenery.

This sounds kinda silly, but soon after I installed FS9, I posted a complaint here about there being no Seattle Space Needle in the default scenery. So someone told me to move my scenery sliders to the right. I did . . . and there was the Needle, just like in FS8!

Dont be surprised. Many landmarks were left out. But they can only include so much scenery for $50. They leave it to the add-on developers to add the details. Has anyone noticed any other religious landmarks missing? There's a tendancy to remove all refrences to Christianity from everything (even Christmas) developing here in the US.

Very true. I flew to Venice, Italy and there was no scenery, not even piazza St Marco

There was a hunt round for the Great Wall of China which came to mind which came to a disappointing end in the forum a little while ago, I would have liked to see included in FS9

1) Cambodia's ancient temple city Ankor Wat
2) Peru's Inca lost city of Machu Picchu
3) China's great fence too :)

The Indian Taj Mahal is given some rendition in FS9. Having said this I believe that these sites are probably better left to the addon designer folk who without doubt do a much better job, guess they have the time and inclination to make them look more lifelike than MS ever could. I have been somewhat disappointed with some of the MS efforts Mt.Rushmore comes to mind here (USA National Park - those famous past Presidents faces carved into the hillside).

Ok I may be a little off the religious theme here but that kinda depends on your definition and how far back in time you want to go :)

Wonder if anyone will think of a bridge with a religious theme missing from FS9 in here! :-jumpy

Now Darkman is this what you are looking for? - but you can't land the helo on the platforms - they are unforunatley the "go-through" variety :(
