Warning Messages
If the NFP is making a PA in the back and the airplane has a message pop up causing a chime, can the passenges hear it? I know occasionally you can hear the "ding" when someone is calling for taxi.

Yes since the AWU also plays over the cockpit speaker and that sound would travel thru your mic to the PA....

So he jumped the speed and the pax heard, "High Speed"? All they know is the computer told the pilots the speed was high. Plus we know the pilots were not intentionally going fast......

Wow if I had a dollar for everytime that happened to me (over the PA). I might not have to work anymore.
Not a big deal.

I was going to say the same thing as fo shizzle did ... I can't count the number of times I've been on an airliner as a pax and heard various tones and chimes from the cockpit. Not a big deal, I should think ...

For a good time press and hold the RA test button in flight while your FO is making a PA in the back. "A too low terrain followed by pull up pull up" will come on yhe AWU.

An excellent way to maintain the fragile shell of passenger confidence.

my still all time favorite aural warning is in the Airbus in the flare, RETARD, RETARD. They hit the nail on the head with that one.

When the synthesized voices first came out, DON'T SINK sounded like DON'T THINK, DON'T THINK.
