I have been all over the forums in every forum, trying to find out how to set your eyepoint in a VC, as in I want to set it to .75 or .8 when you start. Is it impossible or is it just me! Help.

Do you mean the zoom or "seat position"? I know you can change the position at startup by changing the aircraft.cfg file. You can also hit "shift + enter" to raise the seat and "shift + backspace" to lower and doing it with ctrl also moves the seat left and right or something like that. If that is also what you are looking for.
Thanks for the input, but I am looking for specific info for how to adjust the VC eyepoint so that it always opens at the same eyepoint. I know how to adjust the 2D. This is for a new model that we can adjust anything we want. Thanks for any input. I am looking for any help.

Hey Tony,
Hm... try something along the lines of :
(Views)
eyepoint= XXX.XXX XXX.XXX
This will be in your "aircraft.cfg" file.

Well, almost...
You need a section called &l;VIEWS&r; in your Aircraft.cfg file containing a line like
eyepoint=44.983391,-1.666052,4.165129
and you need a section &l;VIEWS&r; in your Panel.cfg file containing lines like
VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.0,0.0,0.0
VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.70
Thanks...
Tony and I were talking about this last night for our Tutor project. I figured the eyeview for the VC but couldn't find the setting for the zoom to default to a given value on startup.
VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.0,0.0,0.0
VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.75
Would that only come into effect for the VC or would the 2d also appear at .75?

Affirmative on the 2d (but the panel bitmap won't get smaller of course ;-) ).
Yes, I'm aware that the "Views" is in brackets... I should have noted that instead of parenthesis.
However, when I type in those brackets, this fourm software don't show it.........

I didn't mean the brackets, I additionally mentioned the lines necessary in the Panel.cfg file.
(But in case you're interested in how these brackets are made just have a look at the [link:www.flightsim.com/cgi/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=html_reference|HTML Reference].)
