Oh Man Do I Need Help

I ran disk cleanup and disk defrag today and just now loaded my FS9 and half or all of my aircrafts textures are missing. Any ideas? I dont have to reinstall do I....and re-download all those aircraft!

Im running XP. I did a system restore to a week ago and now some things work. The plane will load....outside textures will work initially and then after I change views they wont work. Some airplanes work perfectly....some are hit and miss....and some dont have any textures at all.

Grrrrrr.

I got all my things done today so I could sit down, relax, and sim a little and now it doesnt work.

I think it may be some sort of config problem as I downloaded new A/C and they dont work either.

Any suggestions?

If the problem occurred today why not try another system restore?

Im not sure theres a point...I already did one to last week. If a system restore were going to work you would think that one would.

Try resetting the 'default' from START - All Programs - Microsoft games - Flight Simulator 9 - Troubleshooting - Reset Defaults. Worth a try and many folk are unaware of this. Another thing is to move and rename your FS9.cfg file and let the sim start so that it will aotomatically build a new FS9.cfg file. In these cases you will have to re-input your display and other settings the way you like them.

Did the disk cleanup deposit any files in the recycle bin?

Ive tried all of these and still nothing. Sometimes the textures load, sometimes they dont.

I have a great system and graphics card and everything ran very smoothly for quite some time.

When I change to the exterior views....sometimes there are textures...sometimes there arent....sometimes you can see through the plane!

Is there a way that I can load all the original FSim stuff hopefully overwriting anything thats changed without uninstalling-reinstalling or losing downloaded A/C?
