Hi David
set your water effects to : none. And you won´t see the blue square at least when flying over the sea.

Hi there, David
This simple trick did the job for me - just set the "Target frame rate" to Unlimited.
Say if it works!
Thanks Gustavo.
I know it works but it's a pity not having the water effects with a 256M graphic card

Very nice screenshot besides the blue square.
Where did you get that water texture??? I get the squares too, it's annoying but i will figure it out eventually or get support here. HAng in there. How long do they last on your screen?

FS747, they are Bill Lyons textures (first set, with small size OceanHeightField file).
They last less than a second but when panning arround they can take 1/3 of the screen, in the edges

try setting your graphics apeture size to 128mb in your bios. Seems to have worked for me. I just installed those textures and had the same squares. By the way is it normal that you don't see the whole sea in your line of sight sparkle. I checkes bill lyons test flights and the whole lake was sparkling in every angle??? It seems that if your sight distance is at 110mi and you have some fog or low visibility you eliminate the squares. Hope that helps!!

What is your setting here in fs.cfg file?
[DISPLAY]
UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=25
TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=400 <------ increase this to 400 if lower
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.75
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.5
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.5
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.75
This made a big difference for me also.
