Which 727 package??

I've been trying to figure out if the Captain Sim Legendary 727 and the Just Flight 727 professional are one in the same. If they are different products, can someone tell me which one is better and if it is worth the money? I've been dying to get my hands on a decent 727.

It�s the same product, and I highly recommend it as I think it�s one of the best products I�ve ever seen...If you finally get it, I also recommend to download a very nice tutorial you may find at www.avsim.com as the product manual is a little bit complicated. With that tutorial, you will learn everything about the aircraft while flying, which I think it�s the best way to do it...

I agree that it's a very nice package (though tough to fly in my opinion) but, be aware that Dreamfleet is supposedly working on a 727 package that might, very well, have better flight dynamics. Unfortunately, however, very little info (including a release date) is available on Dreamfleet's project so we just never know when we might see it. - Matt D.

I agree, i have the Just Flight version, but yes it's by Captainsim so it's same, just think they got some different liveries that's all.

Great plane and i can't seem to get paint job to work, but it is a very good add-on and worth every penny.

Hey guys, thanks for all the helpfull info. I have a Dell 8300 with a 2.8 P4, a Radeon 9700 and 512mgs of RAM. How do you think the framerates will be with the 727 package and Ultimate Traffic installed? I'm thinking I should think about dialing down the traffic to about 75% or so.

I just got the captain sim 727......its nice, but let me tell you it flies TERRIBLE and i know what im talking about cause ive flown a real one. Its way to hard to fly and has really strange flying characteritics. If you can find a really good air model and config, It could be great. It sure looks nice. I am messing around with the flight model and trying to make it nicer to fly. Just my opinion.

I hava a similar setup,but with a P4 2.4, no framerate loss. Cockpit views draw instantly (after the first time). The VC takes about one second to load from the 2D view, but the optional 2d views are so good I usually use those instead. (The VC is amazing though)

I think landing is extremely difficult. It's hard to describe, but you can forget the "power=lift/ pitch=speed" rule. I think it has to do with the actual 727 thrust vector though. So I'm not saying it's not realistic.
But other than that no problems here.

Yea your right i was just doing a lot of flight testing on it and ive noticed that just a couple of knots of airspeed determins wether its flying or falling out of the sky!!!! Landings are rediculous in this thing. And no one power setting will help ive tried numerous approaches all at the same weight and correct Ref speed for a flaps 30 landing. Each time it required a different power setting. 2 or 3 knots difference and the plane is either falling like a rock or it starts to ballon. Also the stock model flies at a nose low attitude on approach. Have you noticed that when you make a turn the airplane will start like a 1500 fpm descent even if you raise the nose a little to compensate for the loss of lift in a turn??? The problem i think i found tonight is that the spoilers kill way to much lift and when you turn it raises the spoilerons. so you kill all the lift. Its not realistic take my word for it. Ther'ed be a lot of unhappy 72 drivers if it was.
