Thread: Force Feed Back Pro (Non USB)

  1. Default Force Feed Back Pro (Non USB)

I have a Sidewinder Force Feed Back Pro (not the USB-version).If I want to install the driver, Windows XP tells me that this driver version will not work. But there is no driver version for XP at microsofts download site. Who can help me?

I know that this issue has been covered in depth on this forum before. A quick search may turn up the answer you're looking for.

    Just plug it in.
    Go into Control Panel\game controllers.
    Click Add
    Select Microsoft Sidewinder (Auto detect).
    Click OK
Your joystick should now display under Installed game controllers showing status OK.
Within Flight Sim, select Options\Controllers\Assignments and assign any buttons to actions as required.
You will not be able to program the buttons as you could in Windows 98.
You will only have the basic 8 buttons. The shift button function does not work under Windows XP.

Also visit http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/ , support menu selection, then at least the top two selections. There is one concerning Force Feedback problems that may interest you.
