Cannot delete saved flights

I can use them but I cannot delete them. When I try to delete all I hear is a dull ding and then I freeze up and have to go through ctrl-alt-del and open the flight sim again. This just happened after weeks of no problems.
Can anyone help?

Did you try deleting them from Explorer with FS9 not running?
