Default Problems with AA using the new 3.8s

Like most other ATI users, I switched over to the 3.8 Catalyst drivers but now I've noticed that even though the ATI control panel is reading 6x AA, what I'm getting in FS is obviously not (lots of jaggies). The other day, restarting the computer seemed to kick it into gear but not today. I'm not sure what's up. BTW, I have AA disabled in the FS menu. I wasn't having this trouble with the 3.7s. I wonder if it has something to do with the new ability to save profiles because I have a couple saved. The one for Splinter Cell requires AA to be off (set to Application Preference) or it gives some weird lighting effects. Anybody else notice the same thing or have any suggestions?

I guess the saved profiles were the culprits after all. They don't seem to work. Even though the control panel would say AA was activated, it obviously wasn't. After I deleted all of my saved profiles, I could turn AA back on again.
