Thread: ATC Volume settings

  1. Default ATC Volume settings

I am not sure if there is a problem with my ATC volume or not, but...

I have the ATC slider at 100% and I had the engine sounds at 75% and I couldn't hear what ATC was saying, I had to turn the engine sounds down to 30% before I could ATC. I'm just interested in finding out where other people have thier sliders.

    Thanks

I would really like to know if there's a fix for this too. I got tired of having the ATC message text box popping up, so I turned that off to make it more realistic. But now that I don't have the visual clue every time ATC speaks, I have noticed that it is very hard to hear and understand.

I guess turning the engine sounds down and the ATC slider up is fairly realistic since most real world pilots make a point of getting headphones that attempt to silence much of the surrounding noises anyway.

You can increase the ATC volume by changing the settings for it in the FS9.cfg file.
